Insurance Act
CARACAS .- The plenary of the National Assembly (AN) yesterday passed the Law on Insurance Activity instrument that establishes, among other things, coverage for retirees, pensioners and the mentally ill and the elimination of key emergency services, hospitalization, surgery and maternity (HCM). The instrument of 184 items was sent to the National Executive for his signature. The rule in Article 40 paragraph 22, prohibits health institutions refuse to provide immediate coverage in emergencies under the insurance contract HCM, subject to the issuance of keys or access authorizations.
